Apeejay School of Management organises Inter-College Open Mic Competition
New Delhi : Apeejay School of Management (ASM), Dwarka organised recently a virtual inter-college Open Mic Competition for undergraduate students. Fifty shortlisted students from eighteen different colleges in India and two colleges from Nepal participated in the event.
The open mic competition was organised with the aim to offer students a platform to speak up their mind out on various contemporary issues. Topics covered by the participants included: Digital divide in India, Saving lives or saving economy, Socialization in digital era, Importance of sports for overall development and Online education is here to stay.
In his welcome address, Dr. Eitinder Pal Singh, Director, ASM, lauded the efforts put by institution’s Outreach Committee in enhancing leadership and managerial skills among students through organising innovative events and competitions.
Participants were divided into two groups as per the theme of the competition.
Aditya Anand Jha, P.J.M. College of Dairy Technology, Jharkhand bagged the first prize, Karuna Pandey, Uniglobe College, Kathmandu & Neha Katiyar, Deshbhandhu College, Delhi bagged the second prize, while Mansi Sahi, JIMS-Vasant Kunj won the third prize in Group A.
Shivansh Khetan, Hansraj College won the first prize, while Robin Sharma, Trinity Institute of Professional Studies and Saniya, Bharati College won the second and third prize respectively in Group B.
The competition was judged by Dr. Monkia Arora, faculty, ASM, Dr. Monika Kulshretha, faculty, IINTM, Dr. Monika Bansal, faculty, Deendayal Upadhaya College, & Dr. Preeti Suryawanshi, faculty, ASM.
The Dean of ASM, Prof. Kamal Kishore, delivered the concluding remarks. The event was organised by Dr. Shweta Jha, a faculty of the institution.
