Aqua Security matched the funds raised by employees. and raised a total of INR 6 Lacs, to be donated to Nirmaan Organization (a non-profit entity) and its COVID relief efforts in India. Nirmaan supports the underprivileged in education, skill development, entrepreneurship, and social leadership.

Speaking about the initiative, Mr. Bhuvan Bhatt, Aqua India & R&D Head, said, “We are deeply concerned by the critical situation in India induced by COVID-19. Aquathon serves as a humanitarian relief effort to combat the virus. Through our joint effort, we aim to support families that have lost the breadwinner to this unfortunate crisis. If the worst of the pandemic has taught us anything, it’s the power of unity. It is truly humbling to witness our global workforce coming together to give back to our community. We hope we can make a small difference with initiatives like Aquathon.”

Talking about her participation in the company’s unique initiative, Ms. Tejaswi Cherukuri, Software Engineer, Aqua Security, said, “Aquathon was my first physical community service activity. My goal was to contribute as much as I could through my individual role in order to contribute to a larger significant company effort. The experience was both memorable and motivating – working toward a common goal of COVID relief helped us grow as a team”.
