Artur Parfenchikov presented the volunteers with the honorary badge “Volunteer of Karelia”

The award ceremony took place during the Council for the Development of Volunteerism under the Head of Karelia.
Among those awarded with the sign “Volunteer of Karelia” there are students of PetrSU.

Student of the Medical Institute of PetrSU Tavat Bagaudin, Deputy Regional Coordinator of the All-Russian Public Movement “Volunteer-Medic” in Karelia, volunteer of the #WeVotag project, and also the Minister of Health of the Youth Government of Karelia.

Yulia Malikina, a student of the Institute of Pedagogy and Psychology, Deputy Head of the Karelian Center for the Development of Volunteerism, a volunteer of the #WeVot Together project.

Olga Petrovich, a student of the Institute of Pedagogy and Psychology, was awarded a letter of thanks.

In 2020, volunteers of the #WeAbout movement supported the elderly, people with limited mobility and medical staff. Volunteers organized the delivery of groceries, essential goods and medicines in the regions of Karelia. During the pandemic, they completed more than 24 thousand applications for assistance.

The Head of Karelia noted that this year it is planned to increase state support for volunteering, expand the regional program for the development of volunteering until 2024.
