ASHRAE gives 3 projects to AMU worth US$14990
ALIGARH : The Department of Mechanical Engineering, Z.H. College of Engineering and Technology, Aligarh Muslim University has received three projects from the American Society of Heating, Refrigerating and Air-Conditioning Engineers (ASHRAE), USA for the session 2024-25, worth US$14990.
Dr. Taliv Hussain and Dr. Mohammad Asif, Investigators and faculty advisors, said that the three projects include designing and development of a three-stage multi-compression refrigeration test rig as a training and demonstration unit ($4998), designing and development of vapour absorption refrigeration test rig with different input energy sources as a training and demonstration unit ($4997) and designing and development of a two-stage cascade refrigeration test rig as an educational demonstration unit ($4995).
They said that the department has been receiving such grants from ASHRAE for the last two years, and a total of 9 projects have been received from ASHRAE till so far.
