Authors of book “A Crown of Thorns – The Coronavirus and Us” joined KLF Bhava Samvad

New Delhi: Authors Ishrat Syed and Kalpana Swaminathan joined KLF Bhava Samvad on Saturday, 26th September to speak about their latest book ‘Crown Of Thorns’ which is based on the Covid 19 pandemic. Speaking about the vision of the book Kalpana said, “The purpose of our book is to shift the focus from. Covid 19 statistics to self. Because every problem that we deal, we do it in individual level.”

Carrying forward the broader aspect of Covid 19 and self introspection, Ishrat stated that Coronavirus is not new. “Its been there for 40-70 years majorly in the form of common cold. Covid-19 is a new form after SARS and MERS,” he said.

Adding further he pointed, “Be it SARS, or MERS and now Covid 19, when the infection becomes severe in the lungs, the end result is Acute Respiratory Distress Syndrome (ARDS).”

“The viruses are everywhere. Until and unless it enters your body, you won’t perceive it as a disease. Testing postive make you ill, and that is what the book tell you. The factor that makes all the difference is how your body responds to Covid-19,” quoted Kalpana.
