Azadi Ka Amrit Mahotasav: YSS Kishtwar organises Yoga Camp at Block Thakrie

KISHTWAR : A Yoga Camp was organized, today at Block Thakrie as a part of series of activities being undertaken by the Youth Services & Sports Department Kishtwar under the aegis of “Azadi Ka Amrit Mahotasav” to celebrate and commemorate the 75th Year of Indian Independence.

The programme was organized under overall supervision of Deputy Commissioner Kishtwar Ashok Kumar Sharma and under the close supervision of District Youth Services & Sports Officer Kishtwar Kharati Lal Sharma.

The Principal Higher Secondary School Filler was the the Chief Guest of the event.

About 160 students including 85 boys and 71 girls participated in the event.

Block Incharge, Sports Department helped the participants in performing various Yog asanas regarding cure of various diseases related to stomach, neck pain and shoulder pains were also displayed.

The participants were also enlightened about the importance of Yoga by the Principal Higher Secondary School Filler.

He added that competition aims at developing a deep understanding and motivating children to apply the understanding of these practices in one’s life and living.

He added that the competition will also help them to develop healthy habits and lifestyle and thereby promote sound emotional and mental well-being.
