‘Azadi ka Amrut Mahotsav’, DC Kathua presides over Awareness Session for farmers on DILRMP

 

Kathua: District Development Commissioner Kathua, Rahul Yadav presided over Awareness cum interaction programme organised for farmers about the benefits of Digital India Land Record Modernization Programme (DILRMP) here at Conference hall of District Agriculture Office today.

The programme was organised by the Department of Agriculture Production in collaboration with the Revenue Department as part of ongoing celebration of 75 years of India’s Independence under ‘Azadi Ka Amrit Mahotsav’.

At the outset, Senior Project Manager, Resource Person RAMTECH Dr. Rana Singh, gave a detailed presentation of the ”Digital India Land Record Modernization Programme (DILRMP)”.

Speaking on the occasion, DDC Rahul Yadav said the ‘Azadi ka Amrut Mahotsav’ is a nationwide 75 week celebration of landmark achievements during 75 years of Indian Independence. The programme is scheduled from 12th March, 2021 to 15 August, 2023 with the objective to instill sense of pride in the achievement of people after 1947 and vision for 2047.

He appealed to farmers to avail the opportunity to get their query answered by the concerned Resource person of the J&K Land Record Management Agency (JaKLaRMA), a Nodal Agency of Revenue Deptt. for digitization of land records.

Additional Deputy Commissioner, Kathua Atul Gupta, said that digitization of Land Records will be started in the District Kathua soon and this will help to make the revenue record more transparent besides minimising the chance of unnecessary litigation.

Chief Agriculture Officer Kathua, Vijay Upadhayay apprised the DDC about the activities undertaken by the department for doubling the farmer income by 2022 and also gave a detailed presentation about the scope and importance of Farm Laws.

Pertinently, the digitization programme is being implemented and done in the UT of J&K by J&K Land Record Management Agency (JaKLaRMA) in two phases. Under Phase-1, scanning of Revenue Documents, Establishment of Ground Control Points of all districts, Development of Web based Enterprise, Geo information System will be done. Whereas, in 2nd phase the digitization of updated Jamabandis, Vectorization of serving cadastral maps form scanned data, installation of Sehada Stones / Tertiary points in remaining 18 districts, establishment of continuously operating reference stations using GNSS technology with DGP equipments.

Earlier, Deputy Commissioner inaugurated the newly built conference hall of Chief Agriculture Office Kathua.

Among others, DAO (Ext.), Raju Mahajan, ADO (Veg.), other concerned officers besides more than 50 farmers from different parts of the district participated in the programme.
