B2V4: Round- 2 activities organised across 105 Panchayats of Rajouri district

Special Mahila Sabhas, Bal Sabhas, awareness on Govt schemes & NMBA among other multifarious activities mark the day

RAJOURI : Back to Village Phase-IV is in full swing across Rajouri district and multifarious activities are being carried out in the district as a part of the mega public outreach program.

The day two of the ambitious program commenced with activities across 105 panchayats of the district. The activities held on the second day witnessed huge participation of the villagers who expressed enthusiasm and appreciated the initiative of the Government.

After B2V1, B2V2, and B2V3, the Govt of UT of Jammu and Kashmir has started its fourth edition. Back to Village is aimed at providing governance at the doorsteps of the rural populace and to enlist community participation.

The deputed officers to different panchayats held meetings with stakeholder departments and PRIs and discussed core issues confronting the Panchayats.

Multifarious activities including imparting awareness to villagers about my Scheme portal, Biodiversity Management Committee meetings, preparation of Village development plan, ensuring coverage of all eligible beneficiaries of the Panchayats under individual oriented benefit schemes were carried out during the day etc.

Other activities included inspection of playfields, review of Nasha Mukt Abhiyan activities, identification of potential tourist destinations, holding a mahilasabhas and a balsabhas etc.

The visiting officers chaired special Mahila and Bal Sabhas organised to discuss issues related to women and children in the Panchayats. They listened to the grievances projected during the sabhas and documented the same and assured that all their genuine demands and issues shall be redressed in a phased manner.

Awareness regarding individual beneficiary schemes and guidelines of Govt schemes to help develop the rural economy was also imparted to the people by the frontline workers of different departments.

The people of Rajouri district have admired the Govt for reaching out to people at their doorsteps and listening to their grievances.
