Bangaloreans lace up for TCS World 10K to empower public education

Bengaluru  : Bal Utsav, the leading Karnataka based NGO focused on revitalizing government schools has announced its partnership with TCS for the 15th edition of TCS World 10K Bengaluru, set to take place on May 21, 2023. The collaboration will provide participants (individual runners & corporates) an opportunity to support the education of underprivileged children in Karnataka by registering for the event through Bal Utsav’s website. This is the 11th consecutive year of the partnership, with Bal Utsav having raised Rs. 1,19,36,901.00 so far to support public education in the state.

Participants can also create their own Individual Fundraising Program to encourage friends and family members to contribute to the cause. As part of their CSR initiatives, organizations can also raise funds for the cause through the Corporates Care Program. Bal Utsav will use the contribution from the participants towards focused & sustainable interventions to revitalize Government Schools in Karnataka. The interventions include four key areas – School Infrastructure (Including Smart Infrastructure such as internet connectivity, Smart TVs and Ed-tech content), WASH (Water, Sanitation, & Hygiene), Teacher development (Upskilling), and Scholarships for students.

All those who support the cause will receive recognition and support from the NGO in the form of reservation of space, customized T-shirts, medals, goodies, and assistance in filling their application as well as the bib collection process. Over the last decade, more than 10,000 runners have supported Bal Utsav and have rallied behind their campaign, #EducationMakesAllTheDifference.
