Basic Department of ILL at the MOU “Gymnasium No. 17 named after P.O.Korgan”: new activities

For the second year, the cooperation between the Institute of Foreign Languages ​​of PetrSU and the MOU “Gymnasium No. 17 named after PO Korgan” continues under the agreement on the creation of a base department.
Thematic meetings for high school students, which are conducted by teachers of the English Department, have become one of the traditional forms of interaction.

Students of grade 11 B met with Associate Professor of the Department of English Igor Krasnov.

Pupils of 11 “B” class worked together with the candidate of pedagogical sciences, associate professor of the English language department Igor Leonidovich Krasnov. The topic of the lesson is “Education in America: Schools and Universities.” It seems, what could be new in this thread? The educational system in America as a whole, funding of schools, choice of subjects. However, when the class is taught by a person who taught in America himself, the students’ interest becomes genuine. The students were curious to know if university students receive scholarships? How can you choose items for yourself? How many credits do you need to get during the semester? The lesson was very exciting, since the students of the gymnasium are faced with the choice of a university or other educational institution.
