“Bibliography of the Works of PetrSU Scientists”: presentation of the index by Professor S.G. Verigina
The presentation of the bibliographic index of Sergei Gennadievich Verigin’s works took place in the reading room of the Scientific Library of PetrSU.
The index from the series “Bibliography of the Works of PetrSU Scientists” was prepared by a team of editors-bibliographers of the Scientific Library of Petrozavodsk University and was published in February 2021 at the PetrSU Publishing House for the anniversary of the Director of the Institute of History, Political and Social Sciences, Professor, Doctor of History S.G. Verigin.
Sergey Gennadievich Verigin – Director of the Institute of History, Political and Social Sciences of Petrozavodsk State University, Doctor of Historical Sciences, Professor, is a well-known and recognized researcher of the military history of the European North of Russia and the countries of Northern Europe of the 20th century in the domestic and foreign historical scientific community.
Sergei Gennadievich showed interest in historical science during his student years, even then he prepared scientific reports and spoke with them at the annual scientific student conference of PetrSU, traveled to student scientific conferences in universities in the North-West of Russia. At the same time, his interest in the problems of the history of the Second World War and the Great Patriotic War in the region of the European North of Russia was manifested.
Sergey Gennadievich Verigin is the author of more than 380 scientific works, including 10 monographs, which have received a wide response from the domestic and foreign scientific community. More than 20 articles were published abroad (in Finland, Sweden and Norway) in English, Finnish, Swedish and Norwegian, more than 40 articles were published in Russian journals from the VAK list. S.G. Verigin actively publishes scientific articles that are included in the international databases Web of Science and Scopus.
The scientific works of S.G. Verigin were highly appreciated not only among Russian specialists, but also among Finnish scientists. Reviews of his monographs have been published in many Russian and foreign journals.
And now all the works of S.G. Verigin are collected in a bibliographic index, which fully reveals the scale of the scientific activity of Professor S.G. Verigin.
I think the index of printed and electronic published works will be useful for specialists who study the history of their native land, economy, culture of the European North, Soviet-Finnish relations of the 20th century, local historians, history lovers.

Tatyana Petrovna raised all the materials. She found works that we do not have in the library, contacted other libraries and centers. I found works in Norwegian, Swedish, Finnish, English, even those that I did not know about, for example, I found reviews that were published back in the 90s,

The Bibliographic Index contains a list of works by a scientist, a specialist in Soviet-Finnish relations of the 1920s-1950s, and the history of the European North during World War II, published from 1981 to 2020. The publication contains a chronological list of works, an index, an index of titles of works, an index of editorial works.
The publication, of course, will be supplemented and expanded, since Sergei Gennadievich Verigin continues to work on new scientific articles in the field of historical science.
