Bhopal: The Chief Minister Shri Kamal Nath directed to build an image of Sanchi Boddh Vishwavidyalaya and to conduct courses which can bring repute at International level. Shri Kamal Nath was reviewing the ongoing activities of Sanchi Boddh Bhartiya Gyan Addhayan Vishwavidyalaya in a meeting at Mantralaya today. The Minister for Culture Dr. Vijayalaxmi Sadho was present at the meeting.
The Chief Minister said that keeping in mind the original form of the Sanchi Vishwavidyalaya, a well planned action plan should be prepared to establish its image at international level. He gave directives to constitute a committee of experts for re-orientation of prevailing courses and its departments. Shri Kamal Nath mentioned that the committee should visit the institutions connected to the Boddh Study and Philosophy of National and International level and give its report in time limit, so that the changes on this basis could be made in the framework of the university.
A decision was taken in the meeting that suggestions for Buddhist education from the institutions located in Thailand, Vietnam, Japan, Cambodia and Sri Lanka should be invited.
The Principal Secretary Culture and Vice Chancellor Sanchi Boddh Bhartiya Gyan Addhayan Vishwavidyalaya Shri Pankaj Raag, Deputy Secretary Culture and Registrar Dr. Pragya Awasthi and concerned Senior Officers were present at the meeting.
