C Krishniah Chetty Foundation brings together four government schools on the occasion of Children’s Day

Bangalore: C Krishniah Chetty Foundation on the occasion of Children’s Day brought together the children of Government Urdu Higher Primary School, Jogupalya, , Government Tamil Lower Primary School ,Jogupalya, Government Kannada Higher Primary School, Jogupalya, and Government Lower Primary School, Dasarahalli, for a day of competitive track & field sports, and fair play. The purpose of this engaging session was to inculcate the spirit of sportsmanship in the children.
Ramaswamy Shreyas Gopal, ace cricketer, who plays at the A team of India, Ranji Trophy and IPL was also present to motivate children and give away the prizes.

Dr. C. Vinod Hayagriv, Managing Director &Director, C Krishniah Chetty Group of Jewellers said, “On the occasion of Children’s Day 2017, to set an example for government schools of good & higher standards.

Further to encourage children from government primary and secondary schools, C. Krishniah Chetty Foundation had the support of state government, education department authorities, in our endeavour. The kids here are up to standard 7th and they were thrilled to meet together like this and have a great day of competitive sport. We expected about 70 children to participate but we ultimately had over 100 children participating. It was a day of competitive spirit, fair play, and hard work by the children & C Krishniah Chetty team. It is one of the projects that C Krishniah Chetty Foundation does to bring about better society going beyond diamonds & gold. To lift the educative system into the lives of lesser privileged and encourage undiscovered talent. ”

Swapna Mankani, President , InnerWheel club of Bangalore said, “ Last year we built and inaugurated this school and this is the first time we are organising a sports day on children’s day. C Krishniah Chetty Foundation helped us to organise this event and give medals and prizes to the kids which these kids have never witnessed earlier. We plan to do this every year and we hope to bring more students. We wish to empower these students and give them all the opportunities the students of private schools have.”

C Krishniah Chetty Foundation has helped rebuild four government schools and provide them with vital facilities such as ventilated buildings, inspirational environment, designated assembly areas, staff rooms for teachers, functional clean toilets, & drinking water. Apart from these facilities, the Foundation has also taken an initiative to provide kids with computers, work tables and library books. Going beyond cheque book charity, the C Krishniah CHETTY Foundation helps thru involvement of their talented, motivated teams in giving life to life improving initiatives.
