Career guidance events within the Week without turnstiles

The department of pre-university and vocational guidance work within the framework of the all-Russian action “Week without turnstiles” conducts vocational guidance activities in schools in Petrozavodsk.
Petrozavodsk State University is a permanent participant of the “Week without turnstiles” campaign. This year the action began with a visit to the Gymnasium No. 30 named after D.N. Muzalev.

“Week without turnstiles” is a set of events aimed at acquainting students and schoolchildren with the leading enterprises and educational organizations of Karelia, popularizing engineering professions in demand on the labor market.

PetrSU is the main university of the republic, the main higher educational institution of Karelia and, of course, we always take an active part in the action “Week without turnstiles”. Schoolchildren, high school students, first of all, should know about the possibilities of studying at our university, specialties and areas of training, in order to become in demand on the labor market after receiving higher education. Taking into account the difficult year in terms of the epidemiological situation and the restrictions that accompanied us everywhere, which also affected the traditional visits by schoolchildren to the university buildings to get acquainted with PetrSU, the action “Week without turnstiles” gives an excellent opportunity to visit schools and communicate with high school students directly.

– noted Yu.V. Semenova, Head of the Department of Pre-University and Career Guidance, PetrSU.
The head of the department for organizing student admission M.N. Semyonova told the high school students about the possibilities of admission, the nuances of the admission campaign – 2021 .

The next career guidance meetings with high school students within the framework of the “Week without turnstiles” campaign will be held at the secondary school №27, secondary school №36, the Finno-Ugric school and the gymnasium №17.

The event was organized by the Office of Pre-University and Career Guidance within the framework of the Development Program of the flagship university and the plan of career guidance work of the university.
