Center for Adaptive Physical Culture of PetrSU shared plans for the future

Every year, the Center for Adaptive Physical Culture of PetrSU becomes a partner of socially oriented non-profit organizations in the implementation of projects supported by the Presidential Grants Fund.
There are two projects to be implemented this academic year. The social project “Festival of Inclusive Sports Games” Karelia for Everyone – 2021 “, announced by the Sports Federation of the Blind, is aimed at creating conditions for conducting sports activities with visually impaired and blind people over the age of 18 and increasing their level of social activity. classes in table tennis for the blind, goalball, master classes and refresher courses for specialists in adaptive physical culture will be held. state of health “, winner of the 1st All-Russian competition of practices of inclusive higher education.

With a long-term partner of our center – KROO “Let’s Help Our Children” – the project “Expanding the Borders” will be implemented. According to the plan, the staff and volunteers of the center will organize individual and group lessons on adaptive physical culture, sports events, consultations for parents, seminars for specialists.

At present, the AFK Center of PetrSU is equipped with modern rehabilitation equipment and simulators, which makes it possible to conduct classes with people with disabilities of practically all nosological groups and to take part in project activities of various directions. Based on the results of participation in socially-oriented projects, it is planned to test a number of methods, publish scientific articles and develop programs of advanced training courses for specialists in Karelia.
