Central University of Odisha Introduces Executive MBA

Report by Nishapati Nayak; Koraput: The Central University of Odisha (CUO) has embarked on a Two Year Executive MBA programme for offering it in September 2020. Frontline Public Sector organisations like HAL, NALCO, DRDO, NAD, NMDC, RSPL, VSPL, among others, and Private Sector organisations like JK Pater Mills, Utkal Alumina International Limited would be the potential sponsors of their Executives. Other Executives aspiring to assume General Management roles include Executives of Cooperatives, Farmers Producer Organisations, Civil Society Representatives, Entrepreneur and Teachers desirous of becoming Management Teachers/Executives. The CUO invites applications for 100 seats through a Public Announcement for admissions shortly. The admissions to the MBA Programme would be done through an Entrance Test of the CUO in early September 2020. The MBA Programme would be spread over Four Semesters. Online and Offline teaching with case studies, individual and group assignments, industrial exposures, project work and internships characterize the well designed curriculum. Leading Public Sector Management Education Institutions like the Institute of Public Enterprises Hyderabad, HAL Training Centre Bangalore, Management Departments of leading Universities of Odisha and other Indian States, Xavier Group of management Institutions, All India Management Association, amongst others, will be the potential sources of competent Visiting Faculty and resource material. MOOCS courses add to the richness of online courses. The Steering Committee of the CUO for managing the Executive MBA programme comprises the Director of IPE Hyderabad, Director of Institute of Risk Management and Insurance, Hyderabad, Former Executive Director of HAL, the Dean of CUO and distinguished Visiting Professors, amongst others. The Committee will be chaired by the Vice-Chancellor, according to a Press Notification of the CUO.
