Centre says option of heterologous precaution dose with Corbevax to be available to all person above 18 years of age

Centre has said that the option of heterologous precaution dose with Corbevax will be available to all person above 18 years of age.

Union Health Secreatary Rajesh Bhushan said, Corbevax will be available as precaution dose after completion of six months from the date of administration of the second dose of either Covaxin or Covishield vaccines for population above 18 years. Mr Bhushan has written a letter to all States and Union Territory in this regard.

He said, all necessary changes in regard to administration of heterologous precaution dose have been made on the Cowin Portal from this Friday.

He said, there will be no change in existing guidlines for heterologous precaution dose administration of Covaccine and Covishield Vaccine.
