Centum Learning appoints Sanjay Bahl as Managing Director & CEO
New Delhi: Centum Learning, an ISO 9001:2015 certified skilling MNC, today announced the appointment of Sanjay Bahl as the Managing Director & CEO. In this role, Sanjay will be responsible for driving Centum Learning’s strategy to attain the goal of Centum being the most admired Learning and Skill Development Partner, enabling sustainable transformation.
Speaking on the occasion of his appointment, Sanjay Bahl said, “I strongly believe that the success of a nation depends on the success of its youth and Centum Learning will continue to play a pivotal role through extensive collaboration with all the key stakeholders, including industry organizations, corporates, NSDC, government departments, technology partners and the community at large.”
Sanjay has over 30 years of rich experience in different sectors, with extensive involvement in education and skilling space. During this period, he avidly nurtured government and industry body relations for influencing policy changes which is helping re-energize the country’s workforce today and preparing youth for entry level jobs and growth opportunities in the domestic and international markets. He has also led strategic and joint venture partnerships in B2B, B2G, and B2C businesses in consumer electronics, retail, telecom services, education, digital /on-line training and skilling domains.
Sanjay’s active contribution to key Skills Forums like CII, ASSOCHAM, SSCs, NSDC, related associations and forums is widely acknowledged by the industry. He was also associated with CII – National Committee on Skills Development, 2016. Additionally, he presented a paper at ISB Hyderabad on “Innovative Solutions towards Market Awareness and Technology for a Sustainable Retail (student pay) model for Skills programs, in 2013. He is a certified Assessor for “People Development Centre” by SHL, London, UK and participated in “Creative Leadership” certification program for Top management, conducted by CCL Singapore/ USA.
Before joining Centum, Sanjay was the President and Director of NIIT’s Skills Initiative JV and the National Channel Head of their Skills and Career group. He has also been engaged with brands such as Crompton Greaves, CASIO and MTS. Additionally, he was a part of Bharti Airtel for over 10 years (1999-2009), where he held multiple assignments. Sanjay’s in-depth familiarity with managing business in large cities as well as tier 2/tier 3 towns and rural India, where skilling is most needed, is an added advantage.
Working towards the goal of retaining Centum’s leadership position in this field, Sanjay will be driving a scalable business strategy leveraging the strengths of the company, on one hand and the evolving skilling ecosystem on the other.
