CGC Overpowered others during IKGPTU Inter College weightlifting, powerlifting and best physique tournaments

Gandhinagar: IKGPTU Inter College weightlifting, powerlifting and best physique tournaments concluded today at Chandigarh Group of Colleges, Landran. The host college won its 11th successive trophy across the entire powerlifting and weightlifting format.
In the Weightlifting category which consisted of 13 different weight categories, the host college team, Chandigarh Group of Colleges, Landran was adjudged the winner by scoring 32 points, Ramgarhia Institute of Management and Advance Studies (RIMAS), Phagwara scored 22 points and came second while, DAV Institute of Engineering & Technology Jalandhar grabbed 8 points and won the third spot. In the Powerlifting Championship which included Squat, Bench Press and Dead Lift Chandigarh Engineering College, CGC Landran claimed Gold by securing 32 points by defeating other 9 teams in 8 different weight categories. In the best physique competition hosted on day three, CGC Jhanjeri won the first position with 21 points. Yawar Nazar from CGC Jhanjheri won the Mr IKGPTU 2019-20 individual title for best physique.
