Chairman DDC, DC Kupwara inspects progress of ongoing Vaccination Drive

KUPWARA: In order to ensure cent percent coverage of target population under vaccination drive, Chairman DDC Kupwara, Irfan Sultan Panditpori and Deputy Commissioner Kupwara, Imam Din today inspected various vaccination centres established across the district to review the progress being made on ground. SP Handwara, ADC Handwara, CMO Kupwara and other concerned officers accompanied the dignitaries.

During the visit, both the dignitaries inspected vaccination centres at SDH Langate and Kralgund. They also inspected Kralgund market and took stock of the Covid SOPs and Vaccination by shopkeepers.

On the occasion, the Deputy Commissioner stressed upon the concerned to ensure nobody among the target group is left out from vaccination so that the people are safeguarded against the pandemic disease. He directed the Police officers to ensure shopkeepers have a requisite vaccination certificate before they open up their shops.

The Deputy Commissioner also directed the bank managers to make payment to only those beneficiaries who produce vaccination certificate.

Earlier, during the inspection of the Kralgund market, the Deputy Commissioner met a tailor, handicapped by both legs who was earning his livelihood during these times of pandemic. The Deputy Commissioner appreciated the tailor by setting an example for others to work hard.
