Chairperson DDC hands over 351 D-Class contractor cards among eligible candidates at Ramban

RAMBAN: Chairperson, District Development Council, Ramban, Dr .Shamshada Shan today handed-over D-Class contractor cards to 351 eligible applicants of various Panchayats of the district in presence of the District Development Commissioner, Mussarat Islam and SE, Jal Shakti Department, Arun Gupta here today.

It was informed that during two day screening camp held by the Jal Shakti Department at Ramban, these candidates were found eligible after scrutiny of their mandatory formalities.

These contractors will be eligible to apply for the tenders of any civil works up to Rs 15 lakh in any of the 143 Panchayats of the district for the fast track execution of development works in Panchayats under MGNREGA, B2V2, Area Development Fund schemes etc.

Speaking on the occasion, the Chairperson said that the step will bring transparency in the allotment of the development works in villages and give employment to unemployed.

The scheme of the government has been welcomed by the villagers especially by the unemployed male and female youth.
