Chemistry professor Song Lin wins Cope Prize

Song Lin, Tisch University Professor in the Department of Chemistry and Chemical Biology in the College of Arts & Sciences, was recently awarded the Arthur C. Cope Scholar Award from the American Chemical Society.

The Cope Scholar Award recognizes contributions to organic chemistry and includes a $40,000 grant for a university or research institute of the professor’s choice, along with a $5,000 prize.

The Lin Research Group is involved with research on synthetic electrochemistry, and expands the scope and application of electrochemical systems, according to Lin. He is also an associate editor for Organic Letters, the leading academic journal on organic chemistry.
