Chhattisgarh Chief Minister extends hearty wishes on engineer day

Raipur: Chief Minister Mr. Bhupesh Baghel has extended hearty wishes to all the engineers on the occasion of Engineer Day. In his greeting message released today, Mr. Baghel said that in the memory of Bharat Ratna Sir Mokshagundam Vishwarayya, the great engineer of India, we celebrate his birthday on September 15 as Engineer Day. He is remembered with great respect as ‘Vishwakarma’ of modern India. Sir Vishwarayya made an outstanding contribution in the field of engineering in India with his extraordinary vision and talent. He has made an unprecedented contribution in making Karnataka state of South India a developed and prosperous region. Nation remembers him for his excellent technical skills and contribution in construction of several damsincluding the Krishna Raj Sagar Dam in Mysore, and has also contributed in setting up of several industries. Chief Minister said that role of engineers is important in building any nation and state. Sir Vishwarayya’s dedication to his work is inspiring and exemplary for all. Mr. Baghel called upon the engineers to take inspiration from the ideals and works of Sir Vishwarayya and contribute to the growth of the state.
