CM Bhupesh Baghel presides over the meeting of Chhattisgarh Rural Employment Guarantee Council
Raipur: On instructions of Chief Minister Mr. Bhupesh Baghel’s instructions, platforms are being constructed in all the paddy procurement centers of the state for saving paddy from rain and for systematically conducting the paddy procurement work. In the first phase, construction of 4649 platforms was sanctioned. Out of which construction of 4630 platforms has been completed. Panchayat and Rural Development Department has directed all the Collectors and District Programme Coordinators to mark places for construction of platforms in paddy procurement centers in the second phase.
It is noteworthy that Chief Minister Mr. Bhupesh Baghel recently chaired the state-level review meeting of Chhattisgarh Rural Employment Guarantee Council and took the policy-based decision to build minimum four platforms in each of the paddy procurement centers in the state.
Panchayat and Rural Development Principal Secretary Mr. Gaurav Dwivedi has written letter in the context to all the District Collectors and District Programme Coordinators, and has given instructions to do physical inspection of platforms and do quality evaluation of the construction work of the new platforms, so that platform construction work for second phase can be sanctioned.
Mr. Dwivedi has directed the officials of the Department of Food and Civil Supplies and Consumer Protection, Cooperatives and Panchayat and Rural Development to work in coordination for identifying suitable sites for construction of platforms to be built in the second phase. The Principal Secretary informed in the letter that a Google spread sheet is being released in the name of ‘Chabutra Face-2’ for reviewing the targets and for daily updation of the progress of the state government’s priority project of platform construction
