CM releases booklet on Floral and Avifaunal Diversity of Himachal Pradesh

Shimla: Chief Minister Jai Ram Thakur today released a booklet on ‘Floral and Avifaunal Diversity of Himachal Pradesh’ brought out by Himachal Pradesh Council for Science Technology and Environment (HIMCOSTE) here today.

Appreciating the efforts of the Council, Chief Minister said that the booklet contains detailed pictorial description and scientific information regarding Avifauna of the State.

Chief Minister said that in the present COVID-19 pandemic situation, the importance and preservation of bio-diversity of Himalayan region was highly significant.

He expressed hope that it would be immensely useful to students, teachers, researchers, naturalists and government agencies.

Industries Minister Bikram Singh Thakur, Chief Conservator of Forests Wild Life Dr. Savita, Joint Member Secretary HIMCOSTE Nishant Thakur, Senior Scientific Officer and Editor of the book Dr. Aparna, Scientific Officer Manoj Kaul, Editor of the book Santosh Thakur were present on the occasion among others.
