Cooperation with Petrozavodsk Pedagogical College
Representatives of the Physics and Technology Institute, with the support of the Office of Pre-University and Career Guidance, held a career guidance event for students of the Pedagogical College.
Associate Professor of the Department of Energy Supply of Enterprises and Energy Saving N. S. Skorikova and senior lecturer of the Department of Electronics and Power Engineering VV Romanov held a career guidance meeting and lesson for students and teachers of the college within the framework of the Astronomical Club “Asterion”.
In the club “Asterion”, which unites astronomy lovers from junior schoolchildren to the discoverers of asteroids and comets, there are many classes, master classes, and outdoor events related to the study of astronomy that develop space horizons.
College students learned about useful resources for preparing for school classes on astronomical topics, learned how to make a lesson on the topic of “Planets of the Solar System” fun, capable of awakening a keen interest in astronomy among schoolchildren. In addition, all those present at the meeting were given the opportunity to get acquainted with the telescope and the peculiarities of working with it.
N.S. Skorikova paid special attention to the possibility of obtaining higher education at Petrozavodsk State University, talking about the pedagogical areas of study .
Further fruitful cooperation of the Petrozavodsk State University, the Physico-Technical Institute and the Pedagogical College will continue.
The event was held within the framework of the university’s career guidance, the development program of the flagship university and the activities of the Astronomical Club “Asterion” with the support of the Office of Pre-University and Career Guidance.
