Day long awareness programme on Reduce, Reuse and Recycle, Alternatives for waste Management held at Udhampur

UDHAMPUR : J&K Science Technology & Innovation Council, Department of Science & Technology Udhampur today organised Expert Lectures and a Poster Competition on Reduce Reuse & Recycle, Alternative sources for waste management in collaboration with Government Model Higher Secondary School, Ramnagar.

The programme started with the welcome address by the Principal of the institution who welcomed the resource persons, guests and all participants.

Shruti Khanna, District Co-ordinator, JKSTIC, DST, Udhampur thanked the Principal for extending support in organising the event and making it a grand success. The guest lectures were delivered through power point presentation by the resource persons from Government Degree College, Ramnagar.

They highlighted the need of recycling the wastes which help in saving the green environment. They awared about how these wastes could be useful to bring tremendous change in our lives as alternative sources.

Poster competition on the same theme was also organised in which students from various institutions participated and competition was adjudged by the judges Susheel Kumar and Sahil Sharma, MHS Ramnagar bagged first position and second position where as Radhika, of GHS scored third position.

About 150 participants including faculty and students participated actively in the programme.
