Eco club, GDC Kishtwar organises poster making competition

KISHTWAR : Eco club, Government Degree College Kishtwar today under the abled patronship of Dr. Jyoti Parihar (Principal, GDC Kishtwar) and under the supervision of Dr. Sehrish Gazal (Convener Eco-club) organised a poster making competition on the topic ‘CLEAN WATER AND SANITATION’.

The event was organised with the objective to motivate and spread awareness among students and common masses to adopt various strategies to conserve and act wisely to prevent water pollution. Students and the faculty members of the college actively participated in the event. Prof Romana Akhtar was the Chief Guest of the event.

Prof. Romana Akhtar addressed the students and spoke on how students act as environment warriors and play a key role in the society in order to sensitize the common masses.

The posters were adjudged by Prof. Romana Akthar, Prof Ajay (HOD Physics), Dr. Madhu Bala (HOD Commerce). Students who bagged Ist , 2nd and 3rd prizes in Poster making competition were Abroo wajid, Atif Hussain and Anmol koul of semester 1st.

Dr. Sehrish Gazal presented the formal vote of thanks. The event culminated successfully and was highly appreciated by the students in general and educationalists in particular.
