Daylong Youth engagement/ awareness programme held at Budgam

371 Youth Clubs to participate actively on Information dissemination about self- sponsored schemes, other activities

 

BUDGAM : The District Employment and Counselling Centre (DE&CC) Budgam in collaboration with District Administration Budgam kick-started “Youth Engagement and Outreach Initiative” at Sheikh ul Alam Hall, Budgam.

The programme was presided over by the chief guest, Additional District Development Commissioner (ADDC) Budgam, Dr. Akramullah Tak.

The program shall continue for a month at Sub division levels and at panchayat levels, where in all 371 Youth Clubs having strength of 2995 members shall carry out the scheduled activities in collaboration with different departments for maximum outreach and information regarding different self-employment schemes and other activities.

The daylong programme was attended by District Officers, representatives from various departments and a large number of unemployed youth and members of various youth clubs.

Speaking on the occasion, the ADDC said that the aim and objective of the programme is to impart and sensitize the youth about the various schemes the government has launched for their betterment and socio economic development. He stressed upon the youth to register themselves with the employment department and select the scheme in which they are interested.

The gathering was also addressed by various District Officers and representatives of various departments, who highlighted their services and schemes presently they are handling and serving from their respective departments.
