DC Anantnag inaugurates all staff inter college cricket tournament

ANANTNAG : The Deputy Commissioner (DC) Anantnag, Dr Piyush Singla today inaugurated an All Staff Inter College Cricket Tournament organised under the aegis of Nasha Mukht Bharat Abhiyan at GDC Khanabal, here.

Speaking on the occasion, Dr Singla emphasized the need to eradicate the drug menace from our society. He said that engagement of youth in sports helps to shape their personality and inculcates team spirit. He interacted with the participating teams and had words of encouragement for them.

He appreciated the college authorities for conducting the tournament and suggested that the college should organize more such events to spread the message among the masses.

Principal, GDC Khanabal thanked the Deputy Commissioner for gracing the occasion and assured him that many such events will be organized in the near future.
