DC inspects progress of work on development projects

REASI: Deputy Commissioner Babila Rakwal conducted an extensive tour of various blocks in Reasi to inspect the progress of developmental works being executed by the Public Works Department (PWD). The Deputy Commissioner inspected progress on various projects including the construction of an MMV workshop at ITI Reasi, a boundary wall at High School Ghair, an approach road to ITI Reasi, a link road from Geeta Nagar to Mari and a road near the district hospital to Vijaypur.

The Deputy Commissioner enjoined the Executive Engineer, Public Works Department (R&B) to expedite progress and ensure that the roadworks are completed with alacrity so as to provide the general public with the benefits of connectivity. She further directed for regular monitoring of the project’s progress with particular emphasis on the quality of workmanship.

The Deputy Commissioner also instructed the Executive Engineer to accord priority to the construction of a shopping complex in close proximity to the sports stadium and to ensure its expeditious completion. The Executive Engineer, Rakesh Kumar, along with other officials, accompanied the Deputy Commissioner during her inspection.
