DC Rajouri kick-starts tile-work on Rajouri-Thanamandi-Surankote road

RAJOURI: Deputy Commissioner, Vikas Kundal inaugurated tiled work on the 800-meter stretch at Fatehpur on the Rajouri-Thanamandi-Surankote road today, which is significant to connect remote areas of the Pir Panjal region with the rest of the UT. The tiling work aims to make the road more durable for heavy traffic.

The DC ordered officials to ensure timely completion and high-quality standards. The project has been welcomed by locals and is expected to improve connectivity and accessibility of the region.

The Rajouri-Thanamandi-Surankote road project is undertaken by the Border Roads Organisation (BRO), with support from the District Administration, and is expected to bring socio-economic benefits to the region.

Officers present during the event included SDM Thanamandi, Vikas Dhar; AC Defence, Saleem Qureshi; Tehsildar Thanamandi, Sahil Shah and BRO officials.
