DC Poonch dedicates community Radio station to people of Suran Valley

 

POONCH : Radio Pir Panjal 90.4 FM -Awam Ki Awaz Awam Takk, a community Radio Station was inaugurated today in Surankote by Deputy Commissioner Poonch, Inder Jeet amid a colorful function.

The community Radio station will cater to a large number of people from Kalai to peer ki Gali.

In his inaugural address, the Deputy Commissioner congratulated the people of Surankote and expressed hope that it will inform, Educate and entertain the masses, besides providing necessary information to the village folk, particularly the nomadic population residing in Dhokas. He further said that the youth of the area have a great potential and talent and this Radio will provide them an opportunity to display the same.

A cultural program was also organized on this occasion which was highly applauded by the audience.

Others who graced the Inaugural ceremony were Senior Superintendent of Police, Rohit Baskotra, SDM Surankote, Naheem un Nissa Bhatti, SDPO Surankote, Tanveer Geelani , Principal, Govt. Degree college Surankote, Jasbir Singh, Member DDC Sohail Malik and Commander Six Sector R R Brigadier Mandeep Singh SENA Medal.
