DC Ramban distributes sewing machines among needy women

RAMBAN : Deputy Commissioner, Ramban Mussarat Islam, who is also the chairman of the District Red Cross Society, today distributed sewing machines among five women belonging to weaker sections of society to enable them to earn their livelihood. The Sewing machines were provided by the Indian Red Cross Society.

Accounts Officer, Dalip Kumar and others concerned were also present on the occasion.

Speaking on the occasion, the Deputy Commissioner urged the beneficiaries to take benefits of other welfare schemes also and enhance their expertise and add new features to the traditional local dress as per customers’ choices and market demand to earn a better livelihood.
