DC Ramban inspects patient care facilities in Pogal, Maligam area
Ramban: Deputy Commissioner, Ramban, Mussarat Islam, today visited Pogal and Maligam area besides Tehsil headquarter Ukhral to inspect the healthcare facilities available in Health institutions and Covid control measures being implemented at the local level.
The DC was accompanied by Sub Divisional Magistrate Ramsoo, Dil Mir Chowdhary, Tehsildar Imran Naik, BDO and other senior officers.
The DC also inspected the newly constructed building of PHC Ukhral and took the firsthand appraisal from officers about the issues hindering in making it functional. He directed the construction agencies to complete its remaining furnishing work to make it functional in wake of a surge in Covid Positive cases in the area.
The DC directed the officers of the Health Department to accelerate vaccination drive by organizing camps and door-to- door campaign to achieve the 100% target, besides making the public aware about the benefits of vaccination, wearing facemask, washing hands and following SOPs and other preventive measures.
The DC also interacted with doctors and staff members on duty and appreciated their contribution towards containment of the pandemic. During the visit, the DC also enquired about the status of sample collection, vaccination, registration under Ayushman Bharat, SEHAT Scheme and availability of health infrastructure.
The DC directed the concerned authorities for creating mass awareness in the districts for speeding up the registration process. The DC asked the officers to ensure strict adherence to all preventive measures, SOPs regarding the virus while performing their duties.
The DC also interacted with the PRIs and urged them to cooperate with teams of the Health department to get 100% people of the area vaccinated.
PRIs highlighted their demands for issuance of BPL ration cards to deserving peoples, augmentation of water and power supply schemes, development of tourism related infrastructure and opening of JK Bank branch in the area.
The DC assured them their genuine demands to be fulfilled in time frame manner besides asking them to avail benefit from various beneficiary oriented schemes of Government including MUMKIN and Ayushman Bharat scheme.
