DC Reasi releases compendium on Govt schemes, brochure on Azadi ka Amrit Mahotsav activities
REASI : Deputy Commissioner Reasi, Charandeep Singh Tuesday released a brochure on Azadi ka Amrit MahotsavBooklet activities and a compendium on Government schemes being implemented in District here on today.
Additional District Development Commissioner, Jyoti Salathia; Additional Deputy Commissioner, Abdul Sattar; Chief Planning Officer, Sunita Kanchan; ACR, Sanjay Badyal and other officers and officials attended the programme.
After launching the booklets, the DC said that Independence Day is an occasion to cherish the values of our freedom struggle and to commemorate the sacrifices made by our freedom fighters. The DC informed that India enters the 75th year of independence and celebrating this occasion in high spirits like never before becomes even more important and “Azadi Ka Amrut Mahotsav” to celebrate 75th years of Independence is one such effort.
In this connection, the District Administration Reasi planned a series of events in the month of August. These celebrations as part of Azadi Ka Amrut Mahotsav, witnessed wholehearted participation of all departments and all sections of the society. The DC added that this book is an effort to document the celebratory spirit of these events.
He further said that the consistent efforts on the part of Government of India/UT Government for effective implementation of centrally sponsored schemes on ground including De – centralization of governance with the formation of three tier panchayat Raj Institutions has further strengthen the resolve of government to provide the benefits of various schemes to the beneficiaries. He added that it is imperative to have complete knowledge about the schemes being implemented by various departments in the district which plays a pivotal role in their successful implementation and for providing the benefits of the schemes to the eligible and deserving beneficiaries. The DC said that District Administration Reasi has taken an initiative to publish a compendium of all such centrally sponsored as well as the UT sector schemes. In this regard, the District Administration is putting all efforts for successful implementation of these schemes. He said that the booklet will help the PRIS, officers in particular and public in general.
