DDC Kathua flags off farmers’ exposure visit
Kathua: District Development Commissioner Kathua Om Prakash, today flagged off a group of 50 farmers for the exposure visit to Sher-e-Kashmir University of Agriculture Sciences and Technology, Jammu ( Chathha ) under ATMA.
While interacting with the farmers, the DDC said that the objective of the exposure visit was to aware the farmers about the scientific and modern agriculture practices. He appealed to the farmers to learn and adopt the latest agriculture technologies in order to double their farming income.
Earlier, Chief Agriculture Officer, Vijay Kumar Upadhaya also held an interactive session with farmers and threw light on various departmental schemes. He appealed to the farmers to follow the modern agriculture technologies and avail the benefits of Government Sponsored Schemes.
District Agriculture Officer (Ext.) Raju Mahajan and other officers were also present on the occasion.
