DDC Kishtwar holds awareness camp at Nagseni
Kishtwar: District Development Commissioner, Rajinder Singh Tara, today attended an awareness camp organised by the Department of Agriculture in convergence with other Agri-allied departments including Horticulture, Sheep Husbandry, Animal Husbandry, Fisheries Department along with JK Bank at Padyarna Nagseni.
The DDC was accompanied by Assistant Commissioner Revenue, Block Development Council Chairman Nagseni, Tehsildar Nagseni, Block Development Officer Nagseni, LDM, PRI members besides other officials and field functionaries of Agriculture and agri-allied departments.
DDC urged upon the farmers and orchardists to participate in such camps to update themselves about various centrally sponsored schemes of agriculture and allied sectors. He directed the AEO to ensure 100 percent coverage of eligible farmers under Kisan Credit Card (KCC) to extend benefit of various centrally sponsored schemes to every farmer of the area.
DDC asked the BDC Chairman and other PRI members to impart awareness among the farmers about these pro farmer schemes as part of their social responsibility.
During this two week long Kissan Pakhwara, a total of 33 Kisan camps and 2 Kisan melas are going to be held across the district.
During two camps held at village Padyarana of block Nagseni and village Pallan Trigam of block Trigam, KCC application forms, posters, banners, leaflets highlighting various departmental schemes and incentives were made available to the farmers and on the spot registration was also done.
