DDC Kishtwar reviews developmental indicators prescribed under ABD Program
Seeks focus on education, basic infrastructure & health sector
KISHTWAR : District Development Commissioner Kishtwar Ashok Kumar Sharma today reviewed the developmental indicators and parameters identified under Aspirational Block Development Programme (ABDP) and Sustainable development Goals (SDG) in the District here at a meeting of the concerned officers held in the Conference Hall DC office Complex.
During the meeting, the DDC took sector wise review of various schemes and programmes being carried out in the district more especially in Marwah and Warwan Blocks which have been chosen in ABDP programme to ensure the expeditious improvement in socio-economic upliftment of these areas.
On the occasion, a threadbare discussion with regard to the progress of the Blocks was held wherein the DDC directed the concerned officers to work with added zeal and cohesion in order to achieve the indicators mentioned in the Aspirational Block Development programme.
He said that the Aspirational Block Development Programme aims at promotion of education, basic infrastructure, agriculture health and nutrition needs.
While asserting that the indicator of health and nutrition are to be prioritized in the district and especially in the two Blocks, the DDC directed the Chief Medical Officer for mobilising services of Asha Workers for achieving cent percent registration of Golden Cards to extend health insurance coverage to every individual.
The District officers were asked to identify the Infrastructure needs in these areas so that the same shall be upgraded.
Meanwhile, various issues hampering the path of overall progress in these Blocks were thoroughly discussed in the meeting. The DDC assured that all the impediments shall be taken into consideration for their timely redressal so as to achieve the level of saturation in the indicators.
Besides, the progress for the last quarter across all indicators of the Sustainable Development Goals (SDG) in the district was also reviewed in the meeting.
Departments presented their progress on the SDG parameters. On-going schemes, roadmap for the upcoming quarter and viable targets were also deliberated upon.
Special emphasis was laid on developing a portal for real-time monitoring across key indicators including health, education and nutrition.
The DDC asked the departments to ensure timely up-dation of data as the data collection is vital for effective analysis, review and implementation of the SDG parameters.
