DDC Kishtwar reviews progress under District Capex budget, B2V

Kishtwar: District Development Commissioner, Rajinder Singh Tara today chaired a meeting of district and sectoral officers to review progress under District Capex Budget and “Back to Village programme”, here at DC office.
The meeting was attended by Additional District Development Commissioner, Mohd. Hanief Malik; Additional Deputy Commissioner, Pawan Parihar; Joint Director Planning, Mohd Iqbal; Chief Medical officer, Dr. R S Manhas; Chief Education officer, Dr. Kuldeep Sharma; XENs of PHE, PWD, R&B, EO Municipality, besides other district and sectoral officers.
The DDC reviewed physical and financial achievements of Education, Health, PWD, PHE, PDD, RDD, Youth Services and Sports, Health, Animal Husbandry and other departments under district plan.
Reviewing the progress of Education Sector, the DC asked Chief Education Officer to take steps to complete Kasturba Gandhi Valika Bidyalaya (KGVB) building, to enable the institution to function from own campus. He also reviewed the progress of different works recommended under Back to Village programme, Languishing project scheme and directed the executing agencies to ensure timely completion of the same.
The construction of PMAY houses, implementation of Mid Day Meal scheme, development of sports infrastructure in the district, functioning of newly constructed girls hostel, different water supply schemes, major projects of PWD and RDD were also discussed. The district Horticulture Officer was asked to furnish a detailed plan of action for the tapping of horticulture potential, including marketing strategies and establishment of Mandis in the district. He was asked to submit a feasibility report in this regard in one week.
