DDC Kupwara reviews progress of works under Languishing Projects scheme

Kupwara: District Development Commissioner (DDC), Kupwara, Anshul Garg today convened a meeting of concerned officers to review the progress of ongoing works in the district under the Languishing Projects scheme.
It was informed in the meeting that 72 projects of various departments have been approved at a cost of Rs.152.19 crore, of which, 19 have been completed so far and work is apace on 48 projects and 5 projects are yet to be taken up.
These projects include 29 works of R&B department, 9 projects of JKPCC, 11 projects of the Education Department and 23 projects of Health, Industries, H&UD, Technical Education, Power Sector, Sheep Husbandry and Horticulture P&M.
The DDC stressed on the concerned Engineers to speed up the pace of work of ongoing projects and complete them within the stipulated time frame.
Earlier, the DDC was apprised through a PowerPoint presentation about the overall physical and financial status of the languishing projects in the district.
Among others, Chief Education Officer, Chief Medical Officer, Assistant Director Planning, representatives from R&B, DIC, JKPCC, SICOP, PDD, PHE, Horticulture P&M and other concerned attended the meeting.
