DDC Rajouri reviews performance of Health department; functioning of Jan Aushadhi Kendra

 

RAJOURI : To review the performance of the Health department and functioning of Jan Aushadhi Kendra at District Hospital, District Development Commissioner Rajouri, Rajesh K Shavan today convened a meeting of the concerned officers.

A detailed discussion was held on the functioning of Jan Aushidi Kendra, progress on COVID vaccination, registration under SEHAT and implementation of other schemes.

The meeting was apprised that Nine Jan Aushadhi Kendras have been sanctioned for the district out of which one located at the GMC&AH is functional, while process is on to make four more Kendras functional in different parts of the district.

DDC directed that all the important medicines be made available for the convenience of the patients in the Jan Aushadhi Kendra functioning at GMC&AH.

He also asked the doctors to refrain from prescribing the brand/trade name medicines.

Reviewing the progress of Covid vaccination, it was informed that 49 per cent of age appropriate persons have been given the second dose.

DDC asked the concerned officers to take concrete measures for covering all the left out eligible persons.

Discussing the progress on registration under the SEHAT scheme, he asked for universal coverage to enable maximum people to avail the health benefits under the scheme. The DDC also issued instructions for serving healthy and quality meals to the patients admitted in the health institutions.
