DDC Udhampur reviews preparedness for COVID vaccination

Udhampur: District Development Commissioner, Udhampur, Dr Piyush Singla, along with seniors officers of District Administration today visited the District Hospital to review the preparedness for COVID-19 vaccination.

The team inspected various sections viz laboratory, vaccination site, PMJAY counters of the District Hospital.

Additional Deputy Commissioner, Mohammad Syed Khan, Chief Medical Officer, Dr. K.C. Dogra Dy. Chief Medical Officer, Dr. Simmi, District Health Officer, Mohammad Yaseen and other officers and officials of health departments were accompanying the DDC.

Medical Superintendent District Hospital, Dr. Vijay Raina, gave a brief about various schemes run by the District Hospital.

The DDC stressed on registration of beneficiaries under PMJAY Sehat scheme, preparation of Golden Cards of remaining citizens and providing benefits of PMJAY to the beneficiaries in District Hospital Udhampur.

During the visit, the team reviewed the Dry run process for COVID vaccination conducted in District Hospital and addressed many issues related to it.

Later, the DDC chaired a meeting with officers of the Health department to discuss the issues likely to be faced, while conducting the actual COVID vaccination.

Deputy Chief Medical Officer, Dr Simmi gave a detailed powerpoint presentation regarding the process of vaccination and issues faced during the dry run.

The DDC also interacted with Doctors of District Hospitals and enquired about the functioning of the Hospital.
