Department of Cardiothoracic Surgery, J.N. Medical College, Aligarh Muslim University organized the 5th Annual conference of Cardiothoracic and Vascular Surgeons of UP

 

ALIGARH : The Department of Cardiothoracic Surgery, J.N. Medical College, Aligarh Muslim University organized the 5th Annual conference of Cardiothoracic and Vascular Surgeons of UP, with about 100 surgeons from Uttar Pradesh, Delhi NCR , Haryana, Bihar, J&K, Tamil Nadu, Maharashtra and Karnataka attending the event.

The conference was held under the aegis of cardiothoracic and vascular surgeons’ progressive welfare association of UP, that brought together the best minds in the field of heart, lung and blood vessel surgery in India.

The speakers included Dr. S.K. Chaudhary, Head of the Department, AIIMS, Dr. V. Grover, Head of the Department, RML, New Delhi, Dr. Yugal Mishra, Director, Cardiac Surgery, Manipal Hospital, Gurgaon, Dr. Zainul Abideen, Head of the Department, GHC Hospital, Mumbai, Dr. Shantanu Pande, Senior Professor, SGPGI, Lucknow, Dr. Dharmendra Srivastava, RML Lucknow and Dr. Sanjay Kumar, Head of the Department, IMS, BHU.

The AMU Vice Chancellor, Prof Mohammad Gulrez, Registrar, Mr Mohammad Imran (IPS) and Dean, Faculty medicine, Prof Veena Maheshwari, Principal J.N. Medical College, Prof Haris Manzoor Khan and other senior teachers and delegates attended the inaugural session.

In his concluding remarks, Prof Mohammad Azam Haseen, Chairman of the department, said that the conference served as a platform for the exchange of knowledge and an effort to promote innovation in cardiothoracic and vascular surgery. With a focus on cutting-edge research, groundbreaking surgical techniques, and the latest advancements in the field, the event attracted medical professionals, researchers, and students from all around the country, he added.
