DIC Udhampur organizes awareness camp at Ramnagar

Udhampur: An awareness camp was today organized by District Industries Centre, Udhampur here at BDO Office Ramnagar to make local unemployed youth aware about various self-employment schemes.

The awareness camp specifically focused on Industrial Package and Incentives, Industrial Development Scheme 2017, AatmaNirbhar Bharat package, Pradhan Mantri Employment Generation Programme (PMEGP).

The General Manager DIC stated that the Industries and Commerce Department, Udhampur had established a very cordial atmosphere for new start ups. He invited the prospective entrepreneurs and unit holders to avail the services of the DIC Office. He also highlighted the importance of the Panchayati Raj Institutions and their role in creating awareness about various self-employment schemes among the unemployed youth.

IPO, Sumit Gupta elaborated on the Industrial Development Scheme 2017, Industrial Package and Incentives to the prospective entrepreneurs, while BI Vinay Pratap Singh spoke about the PMEGP scheme and sponsoring of the cases.

Among others present were DDC member Ramnagar, BDC Chairperson, Treasury Officer Ramnagar, BDO Ramnagar, Manager JK Bank Ramnagar, Sarpanches/Panches of Block Ramnagar, Officers/Officials of DIC Udhampur besides unemployed youth, local artisans, weavers, prospective entrepreneurs and general public.
