DIPR Kathua presents cultural programme at border village Haripur-Patil

Kathua: As part of its weeklong campaign under ‘Azadi ka Amrut Mahotsav’, District Information Centre Kathua today organized a Cultural Programme at Village Haripur Patil in tehsil Hiranagar.

Sarpach, Haripur Patil Panchayat, Ravi Sharma, Naib Sarpanch Jagdish Singh, Panches, Ex-Sarpanch and a large number of people were present on the occasion.

During the programme Dilsher Hans and Narshotam Mahi presented patriotic and devotional songs besides songs to create awareness about do’s & don’ts of COVID-19 in Hindi, Dogri,and Punjabi. The song on COVID-19 ‘Kadoon jana tu karoneya…’ was repeatedly applauded by the audience.

Speaking on the occasion, Sarpanch Ravi Sharma thanked the Information Department for organizing the cultural programme to mark 75 years of Independence of India and to remember the contribution of heroes of freedom struggle, who laid down their lives for the independence of India.

He appealed to the people present to wear face masks, main social distancing and get themselves vaccinated.
