District Admn Rajouri facilitates inter-division transportation of stranded persons
Rajouri: Continuing the efforts to facilitate stranded people, the district administration Rajouri has facilitated the movement of twenty five persons hailing from different districts of Kashmir province including girls, who had recently completed their one year contract in Government Medical College Rajouri and remained stuck due to lockdown.
The bus was offered by Himalayan Education Mission Society, Rajouri under BBBP initiative to the district administration to drop the girls in various districts of Kashmir province, free of cost.
The district administration recently received a representation from these persons who requested for their return to native places. A team of district administration comprising of Additional Deputy Commissioner Rajouri Sher Singh, DSEO & Nodal Officer BBBP Bilal Mir under the supervision of District Magistrate Rajouri, Mohammad Nazir Sheikh worked out the feasibilities as per SOPs and after which the process to facilitate their return was initiated.
District Magistrate Rajouri, established communication with Divisional Commissioner Jammu and matter was taken up through other means to manage inter-Divisional movement of these persons who were twenty five in number including 12 Girls. The district administration arranged a bus for the safe passage of these persons to Srinagar, Anantnag, Baramulla, Kupawara etc.
Saima Mushtaq and Mobeena who reached their homes safely said that they were provided special facilitation under BBBP and all the persons thanked the district administration Rajouri for their efforts.
District Magistrate Rajouri, said that the district administration is committed to ensure the safe and smooth journey of these persons to their home districts. He informed that necessary steps are being taken to ensure that they do not face any in convenience during their inter-district/UT movement and process to evacuate the stranded persons is already on top priority of district administration.
