DLCW inspects toilets in government schools

Srinagar: Under the ongoing ‘Swachhta Pakhwada 2020’, District Level Centre for Women (DLCW), Mahila Shakti Kendra, Srinagar conducted inspection of toilets at various government school, here today.
The team of DLCW visited various schools including Government Middle School Kothibagh, Gagribal, Government High School, Batmaloo and Government Higher Secondary School Srinagar wherein the concerned officials reported lack of cleaning staff in the schools which hinder the proper implementation of Swachh Bharat Mission.
Later State Resource Centre for Women in collaboration with the NSS wing of women’s College, MA road organized an essay competition on the topic ‘Best practices in solid waste management in urban areas’.
Special Secretary, Social Welfare, Rifat Ara and State Mission Direction, State Resource Centre for Women felicitated the adjudged winners.
