DLSA Poonch organises awareness programme on World Day of Social Justice

Poonch: An awareness programme on World Day of Social Justice was organized by District Legal Service Authority, Poonch, here at District Court Complex.

The programme, which witnessed a participation of around 400 persons, was conducted under the guidance of Chairman, District Legal Services Authority, Madan Lal and under supervision of Secretary District Legal Services Authority, Wajahat Hussain Kazmi.

Deputy Commissioner, Rahul Yadav, Additional S.P, Khalid Amin and District Social Welfare Officers were also present as special guests. They also spoke on the occasion with respect to various social justice schemes.

The concept of social justice viz-a-viz the provisions of social justice in Indian constitution were highlighted by the speakers.

Detailed discussion was held on social justice, with special reference to eradication of poverty, promotion of full employment, descent work, gender equality and social well being and justice for all.

The Chairman and Secretary, DLSA highlighted various aspects of social justice in the light of Indian constitution and also on various allied provisions connected with social justice.

Advocates Bhanu Partap, Secretary Bar Association Poonch, Majeed Khan vice President Bar Association, Sanjay Raina, Mahinder Pyasa, Mohd Zaman, and Ifkhtar Bazmi also spoke on the occasion and highlighted the importance of social justice day.

The students from different schools also spoke on the occasion. The certificate of participation and mementos were also given to the students who spoke in this function.
