DLSA Ramban hosts advanced training programme for PLVs

 

RAMBAN : District Legal Services Authority, Ramban organized an advanced training programme for Para Legal Volunteers (PLV)s at Ramban.

During the programme about 35 para-legal volunteers were made cognizant about the Government schemes by the officers of Mahila Shakti Kendra, Social Welfare and Horticulture Department.

On the occasion, the District Social Welfare Officer, Rahul Gupta, Chief Horticulture Officer, Anil Gorka, Women Welfare Officer (WWO), Nadia Hamid and other officers were the resource persons.

The participants were sensitised about the welfare schemes like Beti Bachao Beti Padhao, Sukanya Samridhi Yojana, Tejswani, MUMKIN, e-Shram card, SMAS etc. The officers also stressed their enrollment under various beneficiaries and job oriented schemes.

During the training programme, the WWO talked about women empowerment and stressed on the education of the girl child which is the first step towards empowerment of women and the nation as a whole.

District Coordinator Muzaima also imparted information regarding State Marriage Assistance Scheme (SMAS), Skill Development Scheme, Integrated Social Security Scheme and Scholarship. The
